    Video Blogs from Monday!

    March 14, 2016

Well, it's been just over 48 hours since we arrived in Trujillo! Please be praying for us over the next number of days as the students take part in construction, visit the dump, hang out at the children's home, and interact with people throughout the community.

Today (Monday), we began construction, helped with evangelism and hung out with the kids at the children's home. We also had four people visit their Compassion children for the first time! Check out our Twitter feed for Compassion photos.

    2016 Construction

Here are a couple of video blogs to kick us off.

Praying for you team, that your hearts will be open to everything you are experiencing, and that God will begin and continue amazing things in each of you. I pray that you soak in and enjoy every moment of work, fun, and reflection, and the incredible little moments in between. Dig in, love each other, and write down the little things so you never forget! Leaders, may you have wisdom and insight and unity as you hold the space for these students to dive in to what God is saying. Also, listen to your gut and be safe (don't carry kids on stairs). Huge hugs to Nikki and Jeff!

We have the awesome privilege of being Ashley Jones' grandparents! Our words of encouragement to all of the team would be... All of you are in Peru for a divine appointment... None of you are there by chance. Watch for that one moment when you can say 'THIS IS WHY I CAME'... It will change YOU forever and His Kingdom will be advanced... One person... One event at a time! PRAYING GOD's FAVOUR AND INCREASE IN ALL YOU DO!

Hi everyone, So my work friends are following... lots of them are moms, and their comment is "wow are they dirty!" :) thanks for getting dirty this March Break ... for Jesus.

So thankful to see you all contributing your hard work and energy to continuing to build that centre for the kids. Praying you will all be well and safe, and most importantly, that your the eyes of your hearts will be opened to what God has for each of you to take with you from this experience for the rest of your lives.

Keep working hard and smiling, and being our "hands and feet" of compassion and labour there in Peru. We are all praying for you back here, and we love you.

Hey guys, I don't know you specifically but I wanted to let you know that you're in my prayers and thoughts. Don't get so caught up in "helping others" that you forget to let God work inside you and show you the parts of yourself that he is shaping and growing for your return home. God bless and have a great trip!
