    The Journey?

    June 23, 2015
    By Jeff Enns

Well, our journey has more than just begun.

    • Thunder Bay left on Monday afternoon
    • Bolton picked them up from the airport
    • Wonderful billets hosted them for a few short hours of sleep
    • Bolton and Thunder Bay met Mississauga and Brampton at Pearson Airport at 6am this morning.

Although we boarded on time, we spent nearly an hour and a half on the tarmac while a maintenance issue was investigated. While waiting, we discovered that our flight had been switched to a later departure from Panama, and consequently a later arrival into Lima, Peru.

Had our flight from Panama not had a later departure time, we might have missed our connecting flight.

I was able to quickly inform Peru before we took off.

The flight was great and without issues, and we are now safely in Panama.

While here, our leaders gathered for a huddle. Our students have been encouraged to journal, reflect, explore (in the airport and in groups of course), and get something to eat.

The goal is to depart from Panama at 9:21pm local time which is 10:21pm in Ontario. We will arrive a minute before 1am, and hope to be on our bus to Trujillo by 2am.

Rest assured, we will send a tweet when we land in Lima, and when we’re en route to Trujillo.

We hope to have some initial photos uploaded by the time we leave Panama.

    Thank you for your prayers.

P.S. For all of you reading...these students and leaders are AWESOME!

I was born after 1970 and know how to use a computer but I'm not 100% sure where to post "letters" to the team that will be read each morning so I'm posting here.

Hey BRAMALEA ALLIANCE TEAM!! I'm praying for you guys! I hope and pray that you're all doing well and had a blessed first day in Peru. I'm so thankful you all arrived safely. Praying for energy, love and safety for your upcoming days and encounters.

And specifically for Emma Martin (no offence to the rest of the BAC team): I miss you. Your dreads look great I'm sure. I pray you're doing well. Praying that you feel God's presence and peace and hope as you work and serve in Trujillo.

Hello everyone! By the time you are hearing this, you are probably in Trujillo, after a long, bumpy bus ride. I hope that everyone arrived safely and hopefully got enough sleep, because today will be a big day! Be prepared for whatever God has in store for you, making the best of every oppertunity you have. Remember to rely on God's strength and you'll make it through the day. Never forget that we are all praying for you, back in Canada.

May God bless you all, Sarah (Shout out to Nah!!)
