“Puedo orar por ti?” Simple phrase, simple meaning; impactful results. Translated to English, this phrase “Can I pray for you”, has tripped its way out of my mouth on several occasions. Part of the reason is because it is one of the few phrases I can say in Spanish. But I am convinced that without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I would have just stuck to “Si” and “Gracias” in those opportunities. One such moment happened after church on Sunday. We went out for lunch and then drove to Plaza de Armas a big town square where we got to explore. An older lady approached me, trying to sell little packaged snacks that she toted around in a shallow bucket strung around her neck. After showing her the inside of my pockets and saying no Soles multiple times I said Que Dios te bendiga (God bless you) and started turn away. Before I was out of earshot she asked in an excited voice, “Christian?” Since I couldn’t just leave her hanging I turned back to say “Si”. That’s where the Holy Spirit interrupted and the words ‘puedo orar por ti’ came rolling off my tongue. At first I forgot what they even meant in English and was confused when she shut her tight eyes and reached out to hold my hand. Although I was only able to pray for her in English I know that the Holy Spirit is above communication through language. It was such a simple action done in a very short moment but it empowered me just as I hope it empowered her. Even though I know in my head that God is always watching over me, it was so cool to be reminded and truly believe in my heart that his Spirit walks with me wherever I go.

SHOUT OUT TO SHAUNA Glad you're not dead yet little girl! Can't wait to feel your muscles from all your hard work! Philippians 3:14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ JEsus, is calling us.
This is Paul speaking to the church of Philippi about working toward eternal life. Of course "doing stuff" alone will never give you eternal life in heaven but by having faith in Jesus Chirst and through that faith doing good works, one day, God will speak to you and say " Well done my goo and faithfull servant" Love you little girl, keep pushing forward in faith!!!!
