Hi Mom and Vicki (and maybe Marcus). Everything is going great down here, we’re having a great time. We are about to start making a playground in the orphanage, we are all really excited. We’ve been getting the chance to hang out with a lot of the kids that live around the orphanage which has been a great opportunity. First thing I have to say about these kids is they are talented at everything, and they are still all so young. It’s unbelievable some of the skills they have, especially at soccer. Words can’t even describe their skill at soccer. We played them and well, I don’t want to talk about it Yesterday was our beach day, so we got the chance to head over there for the majority of the day and see what the culture and life’s like there. It happened to also be a holiday called St. Peters day, so there was a lot more things going on. Lot’s of music, dancing, there was a parade, and a lot of people. Sunday we got to go to the local Trujillo church, everyone there was so happy to see Canadians and all greeted us with so much enthusiasm. The worship there was awesome; we could recognize some of the songs, but most of them new to us but still so much fun. Jeff was speaking on his “Normal” series so nothing too new.... The only part being he told it in Spanish [although theme of “Normal” is not new to us in Bolton, Jeff did clarify it was an entirely new sermon]. We were able to catch the odd phrase here and there, and read along with the verses. We listened to it second time that night so it was a little easier to understand...... Mainly because he told more of it in English. On Saturday we got the opportunity to visit the dump and just get a sense of what it’s like there. We hung out at the ministry that Brent and Stephanie started for all the kids. It’s crazy how far some of the kids walk just to come and attend, they were all so happy to see us and be able to sing songs and play some games. Again all very talented. It was a great time, but hard to say goodbye. So everything is going great, and we are all having a blast. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. Cya!
