Mission Peru

Peru is a very different setting from Canada and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I Have seen before different advertisements and posters for fundraisers meant to help people in need; the people in the adds always looked sad and as if they were hating life, but here I have seen people in less fortunate positions in life but never once have I seen I child who was unhappy or crying even when we travelled to a daycare/school type set up just outside the dump where people live. The fact that everyone in this country seems happy and content is hard to take in but I think that it is because this is all they know, they don’t know how we live and what we have compared to them, they just have what GOD has given them and they’re doing the best they can with it.  I personally hope that even after I get home i keep this in mind and try and use them as an example because as of right now I could count the amount of north Americans I know that are doing everything they can.
