    A Dream Come True

    Yesterday was the day it all began.

    Six years ago my brother, Jordan, went on the first ever mission Peru trip and the moment he came home and shared some experiences with me, I knew that I wanted to go serve in Peru once I was old enough. I’ve been counting down the years since then and today’s the day the journey in Peru begins. I’m so excited to see what this trip has to offer me.

    Yesterday was a very long, tiring day full of travelling. We all met in Toronto at 4:00am for our first flight and have been travelling since then.  We spent a lot of time playing card games, practicing our Spanish and getting to know each other a little bit. Nothing really exciting has happened yet but I did get to go on my first plane yesterday! It wasn’t exactly how I expected but it was fun!

    Anyways, WE MADE IT TO PERU! It’s 9:00am and we’re currently on a bus headed to Trujillo. We’ve been on here since 12:00am. I literally just had Jeff’s laptop thrown on my lap while I was sleeping and now here I am, writing this. It’s really cool to look out the window and see the land I’ve dreamed of seeing.

    I’m so excited to see how the Lord reveals himself to me on this trip and I can’t wait to experience a new culture. I’m not missing you quite yet, Canada.. But I’ll see you soon enough! Please continue to pray for us down here! Adiós! Dios te bendiga!
